The Pro-Cathedral of The Anglican Independent Communion UK Situated in the beautiful country side of Staffordshire, England. Although Hawksyard hall was built around 1667 it was bought by a Dominican Order in 1896. The Order built a new priory within the grounds which was originally occupied by Nuns of the Order until the early 20th century. The Convent was changed to a Monastery and run by the Monks which included a boarding school for young Dominicans and a theological training centre. The Dominicans left in 1989 and was thus taken over by a reputable nursing home establishment. It is through the proprietors of the nursing home for whom we give thanks for allowing us to occupy this beautiful and awe inspiring building for our Pro-Cathedral. Although there is building work going on around the Church and this is to refurbish the nursing home, it is estimated that the AICUK will hold its first service the end of July beginning of August 2009. Morning Prayer, the Holy Eucharist and Evening Prayer will be a regular Sunday program of services, plus week day services if requested. The Pro-Cathedral’s primary role will be the worship of God and to support the work of the AICUK and the Worldwide Communion. It will be the home of a community of people who seek to make everyone welcome, it is a place of magnificence and holiness. It is our prayer that you will be inspired to visit the Pro-Cathedral and we look forward to welcoming you. We have truly been blessed by God. Contact for the Pro-Cathedral:

On Saturday, 11th April, Bishop Roger Gurling came to visit Revd Rod Walton and the parish of St Margaret's, Lyndhurst to celebrate the Easter Eucharist at an Easter Vigil service. The service included an intensive intercessary prayer time, for the needs of over 30 intentions, many of which had been personally requested. This follows on from the recent formation of New Forest Prayer Group, which is intended to bring Christians of varying denominations together for prayer and fellowship in these troubled times. The intercessory prayers were a significant part of the service. Each had several minutes of intense prayer, giving each person time to focus on individual intentions and individual needs. This brought a depth of spiritual power to the prayer. Already there are signs of answer to our prayers. Bishop Roger spoke on the history of the Easter Vigil and the resurrection, making reference to the book "Who moved the stone" and the relevance of Mark's gospel as one of the earliest gospels. Photos taken after the service follow below...

On Sunday 25th January 2009, Bishop Roger Gurling consecrated St Margaret's Chapel in Lyndhurst, New Forest, Hampshire. St Margaret's is a very old chapel set amongst a cemetery and garden of remembrance in the open forest of the beautiful New Forest. Fr Rod Walton had recently secured the lease of this beautiful chapel, which has been recently refurbished. The Consecration was a lovely, joyful service that was attended by local people and Fr Rod's congregation, including the chairman (and family) of the Cemetery Committee who represented the Lyndhurst Parish Council . After the service, there was a reception at the house of Rod's girlfriend, Dr Caroline Wilkins. A spread of food and mulled wine was supplied by Caroline and the Cemetery Committee chairman and his wife - and enjoyed by all! Photos of the church and the service follow below...
